Welcome to Chalford Hill Primary School

A very warm welcome to Chalford Hill Primary School! We are happily situated in the heart of the Cotswold village of Chalford Hill, where the school has been an active part of the community for 150 years.

We want every child to:

  • be curious – to explore life and all its wonders!
  • be unique – embrace difference and celebrate that everyone in our world is different
  • be respectful – be kind and caring and look after each other
  • be empowered – show resilience and learn from their mistakes and be confident to have another go
  • REACH for the stars! (our 5 learning behaviours: Respect, Effort, Achieve, Challenge and Hi-Five)

Our Strategic Plan sets out our ambitions for the school over the next three years.  We aim high and do our very best for all our children.

Our Vision

A caring, creative and ambitious school where children are supported to be ready for the world.

Ofsted Report

We are very proud of our school and our wonderful children, who were fantastic ambassadors for our school throughout the inspection process.

Inspectors described Chalford Hill as a welcoming school “where kindness sits at its heart”, noting pupils’ strong sense of belonging and the way they are “accepted and celebrated as individuals”. The report emphasises the school’s extensive personal development provision, which underpins all aspects of school life and helps pupils to “shine as individuals” and be well prepared for their next stage of education.

The inspection findings closely reflect the views shared by parents and carers in the school’s most recent parent survey, where they described the school as having “a warm and welcoming vibe”, praised the way “teachers truly care about the children individually”, and celebrate an ethos where children are “relaxed, focused and aware of the emotional needs of others”.
